It has not been as hard as I thought.
- After Debconf, I spent a couple of days at HEL, at Jesus’ place, and had some rest, readjusted nicely to lack of frantic activity and to wearing clothes again ;)
- Temperature at Madrid when I got off the plane was 41º C. Damn!
- When I got home, my house was not as empty as I had left it. I now have two bookshelves and a little cupboard. Thanks Héctor! I slept in my new appartment (pics coming soon) for the first time last night, and though there is no wireless to be “borrowed”, I loved it!
- I talked on the phone with my cow-orker and things looked nice. When I got to work today, I learned that my time in Debconf was not accounted as holidays at all and I still have 3 weeks holidays left! I will be given a couple of weeks off at the middle of August. Life is back to being good! I love being at a Debian friendly job again!
- I lost 4 kg at Debconf. Too much sauna, skating, swimming, and too many skipped meals! Yey!
- I have significantly cut down my smoking.
- I had dinner with Héctor, Bego and Carlos (super rocking special veggie kebab for me) and there were some good news on their front. Bego had surgery while I was away and she’s doing better now.
- Carlos (who is a sweet heart) is setting up a wireless acces point for me (I hope no kittens get killed this time) so that I can use his redundant DSL lines while he’s on holidays. Bego and Héctor had a wonderful surprise present for me: a cat feeding kit for my new roomates. Two wonderful cat puppies at arriving home soon!
- I still feel the thrill, good karma, and overall accomplishment I felt back in Debconf.
Life is simply good.

Less nudity, though. But that's because the saunas here are horrible.
