Now that lirc *finally* entered testing, i am about to upload a new package, fixing 8 bugs. I love housekeeping. Specially when it looks like releasing Sarge can be actually achieved.
I have not blogged about the Vancouver incident, but I feel like it’s just taking Debian’s meritocracy one step further. I am confident that architectures with enough interested people will make it through. And you know how will can make wonders in this, our free software world. I firmly believe in the people porting Debian to the craziest little/huge things. There’s a lesson to be learned there, somewhere. And I know it is going to work just fine. Also, Héctor (bal00) is offering his Playstation as an autobuilder :)

My original ballot looked like this
- - -=-=-=-=-=- Don’t Delete Anything Between These Lines =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
46348448-74a5-40ae-a651-49704435ae8c
[ 7 ] Choice 1: Jonathan Walther
[ 2 ] Choice 2: Matthew Garrett
[ 1 ] Choice 3: Branden Robinson
[ 4 ] Choice 4: Anthony Towns
[ 6 ] Choice 5: Angus Lees
[ 3 ] Choice 6: Andreas Schuldei
[ 5 ] Choice 7: None Of The Above
- - -=-=-=-=-=- Don’t Delete Anything Between These Lines =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

But as soon as I sent it (manoj told me I was third, yeeeha!) I realized that I had given krooger ONE vote, no matter how low. I was kind of embarrased for being so clumsy, that’s the reason I had not blogged about it either. But then I learned through Matthew Garrett that I could change my mind as many times as I wanted, and the casted vote now looks like this:
- - -=-=-=-=-=- Don’t Delete Anything Between These Lines =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
46348448-74a5-40ae-a651-49704435ae8c
[ ] Choice 1: Jonathan Walther
[ 2 ] Choice 2: Matthew Garrett
[ 1 ] Choice 3: Branden Robinson
[ 2 ] Choice 4: Anthony Towns
[ 3 ] Choice 5: Angus Lees
[ 2 ] Choice 6: Andreas Schuldei
[ ] Choice 7: None Of The Above
- - -=-=-=-=-=- Don’t Delete Anything Between These Lines =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Good luck folks!

BTW, I also wonder what did tbm vote :)

So maybe i was not *that* wrong

While discussing my previous entry on IRC with aj and manoj, i found out that ranking krooger below None Of The Above really meant that I found him unacceptable. So here is my final Ballot. Sorry for the noise.

It looks like ranking someone _below_ nota means you find them unacceptable, and also makes it harder for them to meet quorum or majority requirements, which is why it used to be generally considered rude (or an insult) to rank people below nota. (manoj dixit).

Now will anyone actually believe that agi, a dear friend of mine, who i recruited^Wadvocated for the cult^Wproject voted this? Cría cuervos... (translation wanted)
